Therefore, all applications in Ahsay™ Backup Software can run on all common operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Mac, NetWare, UNIX and all other platforms that support Java. Moreover, you can deploy Ahsay™ Backup Software in heterogeneous environment. For example, you can install Ahsay™ Offsite Backup Server (AhsayOBS) on a Linux server, while having the client-side backup applications, Ahsay™ Online Backup Manager (AhsayOBM) and Ahsay™ A-Click Backup (AhsayACB), installed on Windows and Mac OS X.

Secure Web Based Data Restore

Ahsay™ Backup Software allows users to restore backup data via the Internet through any web browser. This provides you with the option of restoring your backed up data from a computer that has no Ahsay™ Online Backup Manager (AhsayOBM) or Ahsay™ A-Click (AhsayACB) client applications installed. It would thus be very useful when you need to restore some backed up files during travelling, or when your notebook is stolen during your business trip. Computer Network Services Ltd add value to this by offering an engineer delivery service via external hard disk for large quantities of data and availability to restore data.

256-Bit Data Encryption

All data will be compressed and encrypted with 256-bit encryption with an encrypting key selected by the user on the client-side applications, Ahsay™ Online Backup Manager (AhsayOBM) and Ahsay™ A-Click Backup (AhsayACB), before being uploaded and stored on Ahsay™ Offsite Backup Server (AhsayOBS). The encrypting key will NEVER be uploaded to AhsayOBS during backup. In addition, it is also possible to upload backup data through a secure SSL channel to further increase the level of security. On the other hand, decryption is only possible with user's encrypting key. Therefore, this whole mechanism provides exceptional security to the backed up data.

Support NAS (Network Attached Storage) Devices

Instead of using regular servers that might cost a fortune to Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs), the core backup server application, Ahsay™ Offsite Backup Server (AhsayOBS) can be installed and run on various models of NAS devices flawlessly. In particular, Ahsay™ has developed NAS Client Utility which allows you to build a BackupBox with popular NAS devices at ease. It comes with step-by-step installation wizard which allows you to seamlessly install your Ahsay™ Offsite Backup Server (AhsayOBS) on a NAS device supported by Ahsay™. Thus, for a SMB who would like to own an enterprise-class backup server for on-site or offsite backup but with limited budget on I.T. related spending, using a NAS device as the backup server can greatly reduce hardware cost.
